I appreciated the point of view in this movie as recent world events have most African Americans and Black people with an eerie feeling that the past never left and is very much present in our modern day and future. In addition, this theory or perspective of the plight of consciousness of everyone living in today's society "after" the war, realize that we are still very much in a form of slavery . The past election of a president of color didn't change much in the perspective of equality and equity. I once worked with a Russian woman who told me that she and her husband go up to Pennsylvania to reinact living in mid evil times , she said that they take on the personas, lifestyles and entertainment of that time so it's not far fetched for some sick folks to really attempt this from slavery.
