To watch Quentin unfold this marvellous tale, a grouping of people in an inhospitable wilderness for me is an awesome re-make of so many best felt scenes from the Best Ever Western movies. The ever fearful snow...promising Death to those who dally... The untrusting alliances brought out of necessity to survive... ...Quentins use of his favourite Actors who seem to bleed into their roles just begging the viewer to ask for more from them. And they deliver.. Despite Q's expressive vomit scenes Im hooked by the violent action and riveted by Bruce Derns son's drama. For me it carries so much story, and cannon from each actor and eventual tale and Q's production in the friken snow put it up there with The Good, The Bad, and....Lots of Ugly.
