Plot: There is no plot. The story is really really lame and unbelievable. Neither the characters themselves or the director make it a believable story. Probably a cheap Netflix movie to create quick content.
Authenticity: There is not a 2 minute stretch that displays genuine level of authenticity. The extras, the locations, the chases, they are a laughable attempt.
Visual Effects: The fight scenes and car chases defy physics. They typically do in all movies, but this movie is really good at making you see just how unrealistic movies are.
Characters: Hallie Berry wears weird costumes that are intended to be feminine, but then the hairstyle and demeanor are entirely masculine. That may suit others, but not her. Mark Wahlberg is lost and does not have the acting chops to carry the movie. He is better off in movies that are funded and directed better.
The rest of the characters attempt one cheeky joke or comment after another, in an effort to sound clever, and all fail entirely.
We were ready to turn it off after 30 minutes, but thought that it would be fun to watch the whole thing to then be able to laugh about it with our friends at breakfast. We also had a hard time staying awake. Good times....
