Being a lover of the original version with Gene Wilder I was so pleasantly surprised that Hollywood was able to make such a positive lovely colorful creative and well done movie. I had all but stopped going to the movies because I just didn't like how I felt watching various elements and usually left feeling somehow heavy and depressed. But not so with this brilliantly hopeful and loveable movie. Loved the main actor he was something like Gene Wilder bright -eyed and mischievous but made it his own. Bravo! Can Hollywood make some more feel good movies like this please?!
