Dalia Dorado Cook

Overall entertaining storyline but definitely dated. I hadn't read Nora Roberts novels before so I was not familiar with her style. It was overly descriptive on mundane items. "He pulled out his Montblanc pen from his pocket..." She really made a conscious effort to build the characters who were supposed to be sleezy. But it was almost TOO obvious. There was a bit of predictability to it as well. I knew the (spoiler alert!) killer was not going to be any of the usual suspects. Again, while entertaining, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

I feel like I've learned so much from this book. Had me wondering how many morw words must've also been lost in the process of creating the dictionary. Fascinating !
