This is by far my favorite Superhero video game series of all time, it definitely helps that my favorite DC Comics superhero is Batman and they did him as well as his Rogue’s Gallery of villains justice. Especially, having this game take place in Arkham Asylum they had an excuse to have all these villains in one place such as Harley Quinn, The Joker as well as Poison Ivy and many more I don’t want to spoil in case your a huge video gamer as well as a huge Batman fan and somehow haven’t played this amazing set of games, yes I’m including Origins in with that even though it was made by a different game developer but, still had that same combat and stealth gameplay I loved from the Rocksteady games. All in all, this is a fantastic game as well as franchise of Superhero games that in my opinion if you somehow haven’t played these and you are a huge Batman fan you should run out immediately and buy them, if you don’t have an Xbox 360 or PS3 anymore but, you have an Xbox One or a PS4 you have no excuse to not play them because, you can buy remastered editions of both Arkham Asylum and City digitally or in physical copy or on the PS Store or Microsoft Store if you have the cash you can buy the Batman Arkham Collection which has Arkham Asylum, Arkham City as well as Arkham Knight which are all great games in my opinion.

It’s been awhile since, I’ve played the game. I’m about to start to work towards getting my platinum trophy on the PS4 version tomorrow however, I have played and beaten the campaign and a majority of the side content on my PS4 and this game is bat-tastic! See what I did there? Sorry for the awful bat pun I’m just a huge fan of Batman. I don’t think this game is as great as Arkham Asylum or Arkham City the first two games from Rocksteady Studios. Hell, I even enjoyed Batman:Arkham Origins better than this game. That’s not to say the storyline of this game isn’t of great quality as far as Batman storylines go it is. It’s just that I totally predicted who the Arkham Knight was about halfway through the game if I remember correctly. If not that soon then, definitely by the start of the final act of the campaign. Which for me, is a definite negative. If I remember correctly, he even went so far to say, “you let that maniac get away with beating me to near death with a crowbar.” Or something to that effect and if you’ve ever been exposed to the deeper aspects of Batman lore especially when it comes to his toxic relationship with The Joker then you’ll definitely know the bitter man-child behind the Arkham Knight armor that was beaten to death in the comics but, apparently near death in the Arkham Universe if I remember correctly seeing as this certain “Robin” is still alive and mentally unstable. Anyways, the side content is here and there for me as far as the base content goes, some of it is better than others but, my main gripe about not just the side content but, the entire game as a whole is how damn much you need to use the bat-mobile. It’s insane how much you have to use that vehicle. It’s used so much that it drives the pacing of the campaign and side-content to a halt anytime you use it which is at least 85 to 95% of the game I’d say.

This is a great FPS game with a fantastic storyline that makes you think. At least, what I’ve uncovered of said storyline so far, seeing as the original Bioshock uses a story telling device that many FPS games as well as other single-player genres have used where you have to find certain tape recorders strewn throughout Bioshock‘s beautifully macabre underwater city called Rapture. I’m still currently stuck on the final boss I plan on beating him when I get home and then, getting the rest of the trophies to acquire the platinum on PS4. The best thing is, Rapture is a landscape that I want to continuously explore until I get the Platinum. Which, not many single player titles can claim to do that for me lately. Bioshock from 2007 gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

I just saw this movie for the first time today, as I wasn’t allowed to watch R-Rated movies until just fairly recently. I grew up in a Christian household so, my parents were fairly strict about the movies I was and was not allowed to watch. However, I caught this movie on HBO streaming today and I have to say, it was an extremely fun watch. While, it was fairly unoriginal due to the sheer fact of the matter being, I had seen several films with this same basic setup especially, recently due to the rise of the comic book superhero movies this past decade in the 2010’s which, I’m not saying that I hate superhero movies as a matter of fact they are some of my most favorite films ever. I like them just about as much as any young man in his early 20’s would this day and age. My only complaint, was I could predict where the storyline was going from beginning to end pretty much from the moment Clarence Boddicker blew Officer Adam Murphy’s hand off in the oil rig. I knew he was going to be found and turned into Robocop and then it was going to be Robocop getting revenge on Clarence and his crew of mercenaries. Not saying I didn’t have fun with the movie, I definitely did. I’m just saying where the movie was going was a tad too predictable for me mostly, because I’ve seen a lot of action movies with similar setups is all.

I personally thought this movie was great! I know a lot of people who thought it was boring but, I didn’t as well as the friend I personally saw it with he liked it a lot as well. Although, take that with a grain of salt knowing I’ve only seen the film once in theaters and plan on renting it tomorrow and watching it and the first one in a double feature. You should also know, I don’t typically get scared by horror movies. I might get startled by a few jump scares but, for the most part I don’t get a sense of dread and fear at least in today’s horror films that are loaded with predictable jump scares. However, I will say I still enjoyed it because, just like the first IT from 2017 I just went in wanting it to feel like a fun haunted house style creep fest. That’s exactly what you get from this film, hell you even go back to the haunted house on Neibolt Street from the first film as well as the novel at a point in the film. I don’t really have any major cons for this film just a few little nitpicks I want to put out there in my review I do want to preface these with saying I will be getting into spoilers when talking about my nitpicks so if you haven’t seen it yet and plan on seeing it you’ve been warned there will be spoilers. As far as my particular nitpicks on the film go, I felt the middle act kind of was a little bit repetitive in the fact, that every member of the Loser’s Club has to split up to go find a artifact from their past as kids to burn in order to perform the ritual they have to do to stop IT for good. Anyhow, the movie does this sort of rinse and repeat ordeal where the Loser’s Club member finds the artifact they are looking for but, just before they can get free with the artifact they need for the ritual IT shows up in one of it’s various forms to try to take them out one by one. I’m not saying these are nitpicks I found boring not at all, I actually thoroughly enjoyed most of these scenes I just started to feel the pacing of the 2nd act drag a bit due to the repetitive ordeal of some of these sequences. My favorite sequence like this in the second act by far, is the sequence with Richie and his “secret” which if you don’t know what I’m talking about because you haven’t seen the film yet. It’s heavily implied that Adult Richie is gay and he has more of an emotional attachment to Adult Eddie that’s more than just a normal friendship between two men. Well, right as Richie is about to get his artifact Pennywise floats down onto the shoulder of the big Paul Bunyan statue from the first film and asks Richie “Wanna play a game Richie? How bout’ Street Fighter?” Then Richie declines and Pennywise starts singing a creepy song called “Dirty Little Secret” which essentially is exactly what it sounds like Pennywise knows of Richie’s Dirty Little Secret and threatens to let the entire town know about said secret. Anyways, this review got a tad long and drawn out I apologize to my readers I just wanted to get my thoughts on the film out.

I love this game! Right now, I’m trying to learn fighting games competitively and I’ve heard Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo as Ryu is probably the best to learn the genre with which is fine. As far as I’ve heard Ryu in Street Fighter 2 is the classic archetype as well as series that most modern fighting games take from. I also figure it doesn’t have as many complex mechanics to add to the depth and keep me from learning the fundamentals of the genre which will translate to whichever game in the genre I want to play. I like Ryu as a character and Street Fighter in general anyways so I don’t mind learning the basics of the genre with Street Fighter 2 anyways. I started today. I can’t wait to head on the path of the world warrior

I haven’t beaten my first playthrough of this game yet, I’ve been taking my time with it because, of the whole COVID-19 Pandemic self-quarantine orders so, I’ve only got two levels left of the main campaign. At least, I’m fairly sure because, I’m in what they call in the game The City of the Damned which, I believe is essentially hell however, I don’t want to give away why I am making my way through this area. I don’t want to give this away, for fear of spoiling the game for those who haven’t played it yet. I will say it’s just as good as Doom (2016) which I just played for the first time before this. However, my only gripe is the annoying Marauders because, they grind the run and gun momentum of the game’s combat to a halt. Mostly, because without spoiling it for those who haven’t played this awesome game yet, the way you fight the Marauders is so vastly different from the ways you take down other enemies in the game. My final score would be a 9.5 out of 10. It would be a 10 out of 10 but, I feel I need to take half a point off due to the annoying marauders. Other than that, it’s a fantastic, extremely fast paced sequel to Doom (2016), by fast-paced I mean Doom (2016) seems to go at a snail’s pace in combat compared to this game.

This game is amazing, of course I’ve always found this series a really attractive fighting game series to play for all the reasons you’d think it would be for a 22 year old male but, at the same time I feel it’s a nice change of pace to a more cartoony and stylized fighting game after I train a bit in my main fighting game Mortal Kombat 11. It’s a nice change of pace from all the gore flying all over the place and the decapitations etc in MK. It’s also, really great because it has a DOA Quest mode that is basically a guided learning experience to allow you to learn the mechanics of the game all while you unlock costumes and clothing items for your favorite fighters. Beware though, if your one of those guys who feels intimidated to play as a beautiful woman in a fighting game which, not sure why you would be IMO. There’s not very many male fighters on the roster a lot of them are female which, I don’t mind since, many of said female characters minus a few that are just creepily young and shouldn’t be on the roster one in particular named Marie Rose. Most of them are extremely strong and beautiful women who sometimes are a bit too stylized to say the least for some but, I like it. All I’m saying is do your research on this franchise because, it’s known for it’s certain traits that will appeal to some but not all and yet, underneath that exterior is a very fun and simple fighting game on the surface and a very complex one for those who dedicate the time to master it’s fighting mechanics.
