As Azad said - i am going to use the power of my finger to write a review for Jawan. The 2 star is for some action sequences and the song Chalya. Talking about the missing 3 - its a movie with same old cliche of a man wronged by the system taking stuff into his own hands. But this movie while covering the corrupt businessman and politician, as usual leaves out the washed up 60 yr old actors trying to pass off as a 30 yr old who is minting money by making movies on the real tragedy of real people while advertising themselves as the hero of the masses. What adds to the mockery is the same actor trying to sell his drapes and sofa cleaning soap in the interval of that very movie. Coming back to Pathan - sorry Jawan - other than the cliche of a robinhood is all loud noises while showing actors entry and some stuff blasting around. It again reinforces the same misogyny where a man is helping woman uplift themselves while mansplaning them what to do and when. Over all its an ok watch as the good movies are not getting enough shows for us to catch them on a weekend and the rest are all Jawans and Pathans !!! It was a waste to cast Vijay Sethupati and Nayanthara since they already had 2 Sharukh Khans … so no screentime and good scenes for anyone else :D. This time i had a realisation that these actors are the very reason why we have to watch the disturbing no smoking ads while we try to munch on our food … bloody zuban kesari !!
