I really wanted to like this book, but, with very few exceptions, it was one of the more disappointing, tedious reading experiences I've ever had. I'm fully aware it's intended to be light-hearted, however, the characters, except for Indy, had zero appeal, were unlikeable, unbelievable, and completelely absurd caricatures . By the end, I didn't even like Indy. I question "his" superior intelligence in choosing Earth and not abandoning, or even dispatching, the obnoxious Francie et al., or annihilating Earth altogether.
