So.... I can understand why the divide in reviews on this... It definitely is marmite.
I love the fact that they've tried something new, it's truly needed.
The creative side of things is exceptional, and the cgi is done tastefully, Tom Hanks younger self is ridiculously good.
There is a nice warm feeling to the main story, it's very at home with me and I guess a lot of people will relate to it, but the issue is that there's too many parallel stories happening at the same time which I just don't care about..this dilutes the main story, my mind wandered quite a few times to the point of forgetting I was watching a movie and had to drag myself back to it.
It's quite theatrical overall, but my suggestion is to go watch it, it's either for you or it isn't, the movie isn't bad at all it's just marmite like I said.
