I went into the movie being an absolute fan of Gladiator. In short - this movie ruined everything. In longer - the story is not there, it makes no sense, it has more gaps and unlogic moments than anything else. The actors are, sorry to say (because they are good actors) absolutely badly casted for a Roman Epos movie. The music is horrible - a few pieces of the original soundtrack, the rest without emotion, without power. The effects just bad. The characters without detail, without life, without sense. Unfortunately even the director Ridley Scott seems entirely off in this one - did he need some more money or why did he even agreed to do this?! Film sets chosen are bad, locations geography change from one scene to the next, sharks in the colosseum, 1 monkey boss dying calms all the rest of the monkeys… Hell - the amount of nonsense and bad things in this movie is endless. Luckily for the movie I have to give minimum 1 star - reality is 0 stars.
