This was a shocking documentary, but seemed a bit one-sided. It makes you want to scream at the screen, but then you realize the logistics of it all. How do you evacuate all those people and where do you put them? It’s easy to criticize but a lot more difficult to come up with answers. The mayor and governor are the ones responsible for first response and FEMA is more long-term. But it seems everyone failed here. I don’t think it was as a racial thing, it was a human tragedy where the government was just unprepared and people felt it was going to be no big deal … until it was.
