It's not terrible, but it's a supped up version of D3. I was sincerely hoping it would be more like D2R with the success of that relaunch, but instead it plays exactly like D3 in terms of game play and itemization. I hate getting a legendary item that is intended to get briefly used until it's outclassed by blues and you have to rip the legendary power out and stick it in another item. It's too complex and makes the legendries feel bad. Is it a bad game? No, not if you liked D3. I'm just disappointed that it wasn't what I wanted in the series. I'll keep my pre-order and play it for a bit, but I severely doubt it will hold up over time like D2 did.
