This movie is worth watching albeit sometimes so painful. It tackles the difficulties of discerning right and wrong and goodness and how political and religious doctrine can further complicate and cloud that effort. It shows that some people damaged by war can still make the right decisions and not lose their humanity. In that sense it is uplifting.
