Not as bad as all the one stars claim, not as good as all the five stars claim.
This is a solid adventure movie that doesn't make any ripples as far as plot goes - there are a few predictable parts, but it still makes for an enjoyable story.
I liked the bonding of the main characters with the background of *spoilers after this* the death of Mills' daughter.
I enjoyed the premise of the ship ending up on Earth 65MYA. I think a lot of the people who didn't enjoy this movie or were confused about time travel were straight up not paying attention - there is no time travel in this movie. It's not a hard concept.
As to the dinosaur design, it's not my favorite, but in many cases they don't try to make direct parallels for dinos we have in the fossil record. Not every species was fossilized, so I'm okay with a bit of creative freedom when it comes to creature design.
Overall, I'd say it's a fun, solid watch with an enjoyable premise and plot. Worth watching over a bucket of popcorn, for sure.
