This movie portrays the arc of the Tony character so it can be a lesson to all who buy a ticket. The characterization of the Italian American of the 1950' to 1960's scores a 10 of 10. The film travels the road between drama and comedy with GPS accuracy while so many other works of this kind are constantly making u-turns. The complicated character of Dr. Shirley is in masterful hands. Great acting,writing and direction come together in a great story and leave enough room for some unanswered questions.

A movie about loneliness with enough plot to keep it engaging. The cast does a good job keeping it real with the help of good writing, but then again the story was about writing. The director wants the audience to do a little work here. The use of music was instructive while not drawing attention to itself, all this with a decent ending as well.
