Scorsese did something amazing with this film. He took absolutely gripping subject matter and made it dull, flat, and one dimensional. I left the theater feeling absolutely nothing for any of the characters and that's quite a feat, considering what a brutal event this movie is based on.

I had a feeling it would be bad, but an elderly friend of mine really wanted to go. I'm 60, so no spring chicken either. I was surprised that it was even worse than anticipated. Four legendary women slogging through a horrible script with inane dialogue and one ridiculous scene after another. What a waste of time and talent. These gals ain't gonna be around forever. Give 'em something substantial to work with and let the magic begin.
