The setting and some scenes are like the games. The characters are not (Leon looks like Carlos and is a slacker who should not have a gun, Chris hates claire, wesker is a frat boy, etc). A bigger problem may be that there is no logic (a cop is yelled at for trying to go to a meeting for all the police but when he sleeps through an explosion and attack... no problem..., a siren is going off and the whole town is to stay in their homes but the cop says its nothing, someone is shooting random at possible monsters but when one slowly walks toward him he doesn't fire,... these moments happen a lot)
