A definitive work of Bowie. During the lowest of his life, he blessed us with one of his most creative and personal works. From the start of the haunting Station to Station opener to the sweeping final notes of Word on a Wing, pure genius. When the commercial breakthroughs of Golden Years and TVC-15 are the lesser of the tracks, you realize the artistic achievement. Interesting side note was that Golden Years was penned and offered to Elvis but not recorded by choice of Elvis. The tour to Station to Station featured the persona of The Thin White Duke showcasing a black clothed Bowie against a giant backdrop of huge white lights. An emaciated Bowie looked frail and strung out from addiction but he delivered memorable performances throughout this tour.
