1st time reading gender fluid themed story. I was overwhelmed by the whole complex nature of gender identity. All characters struck a chord. Jeff Garvin did a great job of making all the characters believable and poignant. The story opened up a whole new world for me. I would recommend "Symptoms of Being Human" to anyone interested in the world of gender fluidity and what it means to find meaning in a binary world and how that binary world is not an all inclusive concept.
