In light of the tragedy of our failing democracy in 2021, Mr. Smith, albeit not so familiar with the workings of Washington DC politics, quickly learns how all politics have local consequences, and he goes to great lengths to do the greater good for the people he represents. To sum it up: "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" is a pleasant story of a representative of we the People, doing the right thing.

A great movie. . . a lovable parody of a slice of life.

What a great show for the legions of tech support workers around the globe. When we need to unwind, and share laughs with our colleagues, this show is the comic sauce; one we need for the new millennium's digital factories (aka call centers). And look at the modern era museum display on the shelves. A Kodak Brownie (120mm) camera, an Altair 8800, a Commodore PET, A Macintosh SE. . . a real museum of modern communication history!

A great follow up to "House Of Cards" and "To Play The King".

A wonderful story of love and life, excellently portrayed.

For it's pre-internet, times, this movie was a riveting Cold War spy drama.

Krieg aus klaustrophobischer Sicht. I had this film at my theatre in 1983, but it was dubbed into English, and not very well. Then I was lucky enough to experience the Director's cut on the big screen in Berlin in 1998, in it's true German. What a great film to experience in your life.
