I enjoyed the film’s thought provoking message and the acting was superb. This isn’t a film that everyone will enjoy but the harsh criticisms of it are a bit over the top. While I think they could have given us more and wish they would have explored a more complex relationship between the Joker and Harley, it was still a 5 star movie. When it’s all said and done, it’s a sad movie that doesn’t give us the cheap thrills that seem to be the norm nowadays. I think the fact that the movie is so sad with no real up moments is what is making it hard for people to enjoy it for what it is. Give it a chance and just enjoy being able to go to a movie that is trying to make you feel and see something new and different.
