What a disappointment... I watched the first two movies in 2 days before watching 28 years later, I WAS expecting it to be unforgiving, showing off how deadly and gruesome the virus is, how people make split second decisions to run away or to finish off their friend who just got infected. There was almost no new information given on the rage virus... Absolutely nothing explained how the infected are still alive and how they evolved Barely any information given on the second movies ending. The movie was afraid to pick off meaningful characters, a third of the way into the movie realized that everyone will be saved by some plot armor Introduced a Swedish guy that had potential to make the movie interesting but instead they tried too hard to make him unlikeable and killed him off in the worst possible way... THE RAGE virus infected forgetting violence and anger to give birth and hold hands with the mom? Then remembering she's infected and attacking the mom? The military trained Swedish guy struggling with staying calm in any situation The ending was absolutely horrible... random people dressed in tracksuits doing back flips and killing like 20 infected with random melee weapons while they're all laughing with metal music in the backround? MEANWHILE THE GROUP OF MILITARY ARMED MEN die to even less infected... Overall a joke compared to the first two movies
