Had so much potential but I'm frustrated and have given up trying to have fun in this game. I can't even fit all the problems I've encountered in this review. Hackers and cheaters are back in force and in numbers not seen since the anti-cheat was released. Insanely bugged even months after launch not to mention performance issues that have never been fixed. Item pick-up is broken and I can rarely pick up the loot I want if it is not in a supply crate. I struggle to get 60 fps on an RTX 3080 and adjusting the graphics settings only nets +-5 fps between maximum and minimum settings (have spent a lot of time troubleshooting this, no fix). Skill-based matchmaking ruins nearly every round I play and I feel like the only result of getting better is just sweatier lobbies. Movement characteristics are the worst in any COD I have ever played, punishing rush or aggressive strategies while camping in a corner is heavily rewarded. Anyone who argues differently regarding WZ2 is plain wrong, battle royales FORCE players to move around the map and movement needs to be proportionally balanced. While I'm okay with slide canceling and bunny hopping being nerfed, the movement animations (weapon swap/mantling/etc.), general mobility, and pace of the game are annoyingly lethargic. A good 60% of the kills I see are from players camping at the edge of the circle and picking off easy kills from others running from gas. DMZ has some real potential but I have little hope that the devs will work to reverse the decline in the quality of recent COD titles. Don't waste 70$ on the multiplayer especially as the devs almost exclusively support Warzone with new "content" (usually store items let's be real). COD needs to return to the arcade shooter that so many have enjoyed over the years (although there could be optional game modes centered on realistic mechanics), as the current blend of arcade and realism elements is an unfun mess that plays extremely poorly.
