As deep and rich and thought-provoking as Annie Dillard's "For the time being". I am usually a fast reader, but this book was so layered and reflective, I often had to put it down and reread. The subject matter was so fresh and yet, so timeless, as it stretches across the human experience into Ram Dass's observation we are all here to walk each other home. Will be giving as gifts to my wandering friends....
