I had high hopes for this movie even after I saw that the actual civil war wasn't the central plot like the early promos teased. I saw the cast and read about the story and figured it would be adequate at best. They proved me wrong; the character and story development was erratic and seemed to lose focus, the soundtrack and random insertion of music into the film was confusing, the ending left a lot to be desired, but mostly the story was anti-climatic. Not worth seeing it on the big screen, wait for it to start streaming next week.

Tremendous work of art supported by award worthy performances from numerous members of the talented cast. Another Nolan masterpiece, minus a couple of the quirky scenes, but it’s not a ‘science movie’ without quirky scenes. Hopefully a sign that the movie theater experience has returned and Hollywood will get back to making these epic films instead of rehashing tired stories.
