They took a beloved franchise with a very deep story lore and threw the entirety of it out the window in favor of creating "their own" story, with "their own" characters, all while getting every aspect of the characters they did actually keep from the original stories wrong. This entire series concept makes me sad. After all these years, we finally get a Halo series, and they go out of their way to turn it into something that no fan of the games or books could possibly enjoy.
