A good effort to show how a “man’s man world” where men do men’s work is changing - even policemen aren’t manly anymore. Holden, who I adore, says he’s 50 in the movie, looking 70- no questions asked about how “men” were aging fast just being “real men”. I totally buy smarter and younger Remick would go for Holden- because women! 4/5 stars because script! 5/5 for Holden - because total crush!

Sweet enchanting - and B+T at their best not to mention BOAC! And all that plus Dame Maggie - the quintessential secretary! There is a twist! An old man does a twist! The dance that defined the 60s! Who could ask for more? 21/4/24
