Underwhelming feeling during and after watching. Emran Hashmi wasted in badly written role, there was an opportunity for the makers to make the villains role at par or better than Jim of Pathan. On the story, why continue with this Pakistan bashing? It’s become tedious and boring. Jawan, Jailor and Leo had great stories without involving Pakistan relevance. SK was his usual Bhai stuff, KK was good; YRF should seriously embark on a spin-off on her… Movie leaves you with a feeling that ‘the x factor’ was missing…. Which was there in YRFs Pathan, and even more prominent in Jawan. SRK cameo was okay, same was seen in Pathan when SK made the save, looks like the shooting of both cameos were done at the same time. HR ‘cameo’ was forced and shows no relevance, there was an opportunity to integrate Kabir in a better and effective way same as SK was done for Pathan. Kabir scene was an after thought and no wonder it was filmed a few days prior to release and it shows. SK will ride on the Tiger mania though not sure if the movie will find the success of Pathan, Jawan or Gadar 2…..and that leaves the question, will fans have great anticipation for his next film the way SRK created anticipation for Jawan after Pathan and now Dunki after Jawan? SK should do what SRK did earlier and what AK did after Laal Singh Chadha…..take a sabbatical, reflect, make great film choices and come back with a bang. Gone are the days of relying on the goodwill of Bhai fans.
