UPDATE 10/09/2021 to previous review 10/07/2021:
After watching NO TIME TO DIE in an AMC DOLBY THEATRE which is an incredible event in itself, I have some additional positive feelings about the movie.
It is classic Bond, with the beautiful women, exotic locations, action scenes, gadgets and a villain. However, I would have liked to see Bond have some additional gadgets. It seemed that the villains had more tech gadgets even though there were only a few in the movie.
In my previous review, I criticized not being able to hear much of the dialogue as it was either being whispered or carried out over the loud Hans Zimmer soundtrack which was very good, but loud enough to (I believe) hide the dialogue for my ears, likely because the theatre speakers couldn't handle it well. BTW...I do have a difficult time hearing people speaking to me in a room with loud background music. The Dolby Theatre diminished this problem as they have excellent speakers and I could hear almost every word clearly.
Although a good movie, it seemed long and not the type I would want to see over again. And, as I stated in my original review there are those certain long movies (3hr+) that I would not have difficulty watching many times over. I'm not exactly sure why I wasn't more interested in this movie, but I didn't seem to get drawn into the movie, couldn't empathize with the characters, wished there were more gadgets, and the movie seemed to be a series of sketches/scenes that were just put together. Each scene looked somewhat perfect where I could almost picture the director saying action and cut. I don't get that feeling with other films. And a couple scenes were a bit drawn out with their dialogue, e.g. Bond w Rami Malik (who was sitting w girl) and Bond on cell phone at end. I know I am getting critical here, but it is what I felt when watching and reflecting on the movie. Each person is different. You should go out and see NO TIME TO DIE for yourself and experience your own feelings/views of the movie. But, if you can, see it in a Dolby Theatre as I believe it will be better there.
Although I only gave it 3 stars, it was a good movie, acting was very good, plot could have been a bit better (I like shows like "24" or "Mission Impossible" that keep me on my seat wanting to know what will happen next), and what keeps sticking in my thoughts is that it felt like various scenes sewn together. Although they were put together logically, it was just too obvious to me.
