Nobody would ever kill a worldwide acclaimed and beloved character like Superman or Mickey Mouse: it would be absolutely crazy and, to make things much worse, totally unprofitable. Needless to say, such a reckless stunt would look even worse right after almost two years of pandemic-related suffering and misery. Nonetheless, that obnoxious, devilish Broccoli-Wilson duo, made such an ill-fated decision during what should have been a most relaxed and pampered lockdown, literally drowning in their multibillionaire's lives. So, they thought it better to get rid once and for all of their very own cash cow.
I found it, therefore, quite useless, on our part, to simply go on trying to “save” a movie that simply shouldn’t exist. Who cares about screenwriting (awful, I agree with all of you), direction (poor, to say the least) and photography (slightly above the average), when 007 already left for good at the end of Spectre? Why pack a premeditated and quite preposterous kill in a medium-quality movie, just to left the audience puzzled, numb, speechless and, most of all, totally unsatisfied?!
Maybe those two mischievous movie-makers have got sick of money, but there should have been many other ways to get themselves rid of such a terrible “burden”, without literally butchering their adoring audience worldwide. Some 55 years of Bond history have been recklessly thrown away and reduced down to just Daniel Craig’s exhausted run as Bond in a very disrespectful way when it comes to Ian Fleming, Connery, Moore, Lazenby, Dalton and Brosnan.
And, who cares about that very devastating ending being “perfect” for an ill-devised and poorly developed 5-film “series”?!?! 007 has never been a Netflix series or is it going to be?
