This was a departure from the Bill Murray Garfield movies of old, but it was a heartwarming tearjerker that showed a different side to our favorite orange lasagna eater. If you’re a purist and want to watch a sarcastic cat who does nothing but lounge around and make jokes with innuendos this movie isn’t for you, it’s a movie that adds layers to the titular character and fortunately the movie didn’t take itself too seriously. I’m in my 20’s and enjoyed the movie, and while it starts a little slow it picked up and actually was a very funny movie that kids and their parents would enjoy. I really liked the top gun reference and I think this flick has a certain charm to it, overall I think I was just happy to see another Garfield movie after tale of two kitties killed the franchise. Sam Jackson was a great voice actor and he really made it clear that Vic wasn’t a one dimensional character and there were several compelling story lines that made the movie great. Five stars would recommend!!!

It was great seeing the cast together, no one lost a step. I think they were faithful to the show but also tried to show a different side of Adrian. Natalie, the Captain, and Randy were great and I thought it did a good job at not relying solely on references to the show and it had its own humor. Natalie stole the movie for me, although she was always my favorite character to be fair. All in all if you’re a fan of monk it’s worth a watch!
