I absolutely loved this drama. I enjoy Kdramas anyway for their interesting plot lines and twists. Romantic dramas can be quite cheesy sometimes, not this one. Powerfully emotive in places, laugh out loud funny and heartbreakingly realistic this drama hooked me in from the first minute. One of my favourite scenes is the moment, whilst drinking in a bar they realise their feelings are mutual. A subtle secret hand hold under the table is almost more powerful than a kissing scene.
The main characters are very believable and likeable. I agree other characters can be super annoying at times and I am still left wondering how the world could be so against such a likeable couple but then it wouldnt be a drama otherwise would it.
It is hard to relate to how much social standing has an influence here in the UK. As much as I dislike her mother, played so well, I can see her perspective to a point but that understanding stops when you take one look at Ju Ni. He is sweet, devoted, loving and just delightful to watch. What's not to love?!
I've watched this twice now. I would watch it again but it's so emotional to watch I have to have a break between. I also love the soundtrack. It's perfectly captures the mood. 5 ⭐ from me!
