I went to this movie because I loved Jordan Peele’s other two (Get Out and Us), so I was super excited to watch this. The whole time I waited for … something. Anything. And it never came. I left the movie thinking about how anyone could rate this 83% on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time of writing). To our this in perspective, I’ve watched some bad movies and thought that at least it wasn’t a waste of time and money. This movie is the first I’ve ever watched that I feel like I’ve wasted my time. I’m not a generally a critical movie reviewer, and I’m sorry if I come off as brash. It was so bad, it was comedic. I was actually laughing after the movie ended about how underwhelming it was. In summary, would I recommend this movie to anyone I care about? Nope. PS I don’t know who would ever call this as a horror movie. Looking forward to the next Jordan Peele movie, but hopefully it’s not like this one.
