Dybbuk makes the viewer believe that Emraan is Taylor-made for the Horror genre, he nailed his character as usual.
The first half of the movie keeps you on your toes with spatters of paranormal activities throughout. Emraan did steal a kiss but could have spiced a bit more. The second half of the movie is quite slow with less focus on the Paranormal aspects and more on the plot where some questions linger on even after the movie ends.
Spoiler ahead!
Why did they need to know the Gender of the Child? They do give a vague explanation where you feel okay! Just let it go now.
The movie does make your blood pump faster but doesn’t make you extremely paranoid, the scares are above average but too predictable if you are a horror fan. But for Bollywood, it is a good movie.
Manav Kaul’s performance was amazing and he added the cream to the cake.
The twist towards the end was good but felt there could have been much more improvement there, didn't feel scary enough. The beginning seemed to be much more frightening comparatively.
The thing this movie lacked the most was Songs! Emraan Hashmi's movie & no songs, disappointment there is an understatement. But, still, you will watch the movie till the end, the plot keeps you occupied if you haven't seen Ezra.
I felt that it is a one-time watch.
Though, didn't like Nikita's acting much and felt everything is rushed. It could have been better if more paranormal activities could have been added.
In all, a decent movie to watch on COVID days.
From my end, 3 * for Emraan’s and Manav’s performance.
