Wonderful show! I was surprised at the actual depth of the story. In the beginning I thought it was more of a comedy with some fan service and boy vs girl situations, with a heavy dose of sexual references and depictions. However, as the story grew it turned much darker and deeper and we truly see how different the world has become. These children are nothing more than tools being used and this shows how they begin to rediscover their own humanity though their trials and tribulations. Many philosophical questions are brought up. It reminds me very much of Neon Genesis where humanities fate is being guarded and protected by children, some of whom were 'made'. What is humanity? What is love? What is belonging? This is a rare gem in my opinion and absolutely worth a watch. I am about to start re-watching it so I can focus on picking up on things that I know I missed the first time though, now that I know the story.
