Why are there so many car crashes? Seriously, every moment in which the story needs to jump forward, they introduce a car crash, major or minor. Admittedly, the first one was unexpected and important, and sent off the story in a high note. But after that? Doesn't anybody check their mirrors anymore?
But I digress.
They seem to have so many issues around ell the things and then, almost out of the blue, he is ok dating her and he become almost a completely different person. Ok, starting a new relationship can do that to people but here it's just unbelievable how he changed from being a super anxious (and not very pleasant) human being into this goofy guy who draws a silly cartoons and is ok with whatever.
Also, he as a parent is... could somebody slap him once or twice? There are a sensible aunt and a (not very good) therapist around. And probably other people such as teachers or physicians. Could anybody get him to be less... him?
And the girl, a great young actress in a badly written emo-like character. If we, as viewers, were supposed to feel sad for her (and her dad), it goes away after the first interactions, which are cringy, to say the least.
I am sorry because I thought this would be better. The idea of a female werewolf is a great one. Too bad the writing couldn't be better.
