Just saw the reboot of The Crow. Hoo boy.
There is a reason there hasn't been a lot of commercials for this film. I don't know what kind of Vampire The Masquerade ripoff bullshit this was supposed to be, but it's not a reboot of The Crow.
It could have been a new movie in and of itself, leave Brandon Lee's memory alone. But it felt like just another diminishing sequel. It couldn't tell if it wanted to be a gothic horror love story or a foreign arthouse film, because it did both badly. But that was a bad joke.
The worst thing you can feel walking out of a movie like this was nothing. I feel nothing. It was Pennywise vs William Stryker from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In my humble opinion, Madame Web was a better comic book movie than this!
Please, go check it out. Have an open mind. Let the bullshit hit the fan, and see if anything sticks to you. It just felt like it tried too hard, and left me wanting. It kills time for two hours. No post credit scene. There's a movie critic review embargo until tomorrow. You're all about to find out why.
