The premise of this TV series is false. The Reform movement in which Noah is almost certainly a rabbi now allows clergy to be in mixed marriages with some stipulations but they are not stipulations relevant to the plot of this TV show. It doesn't matter to me that this change happened in June and production for this show was in full swing by then, it is irresponsible to create a show that presents Jews in a negative light, particularly when the premise is inaccurate.
The Jewish female characters are, for the most part, presented as horrible people while the men are delightful. I mean really...
There are too many moments that feel like a Hallmark Chrismukkah movie where they are explaining the most rudimentary things about Judaism in the most boring ways that assume the character lived under a rock until meeting this Jewish person.
Summary, missed opportunity to create a delightful rom com about a very common but often complicated situation. They had so many better ways of presenting and resolving the story line and they missed the mark.
Feh!
