Whoever read the novels of Byomkesh written by the great Saradindu Bandopadhyay should have a problem with this film. Byomkesh was never a "detective", he was a "Satyanwashi" (Seeker of truth). Many times in various novels the novelist has clearly mentioned why he is not a detective. And the novel "Aadim ripu"(Old Sin) may be written just to establish the statement.
