I think about this book all the time. It's so so good and definitely worth the hype. At its core it's just a really interesting and well written piece of fiction. Every time I was hoping we would tie up a loose end or follow a different character's trajectory it would happen but at the perfect time and with a fantastic reveal. Amazing!

I thought this book was amazing! Absolutely fantastic, well written, good pacing. Only once or twice I thought that the energy of the characters was mismatched with the intensity of a certain scene/event. That being said, this book is so entertaining and such a creative concept.

I thought this book was overrated. No offence to anyone who does like it, but I think the premise could've been executed in a much better way. Definitely catered towards a younger audience (not a bad thing whatsoever! just not what I was expecting). Was not a big fan of the writing or the way the plot was revealed. Interesting concept though.

Only reason I'm giving this a 4 is because I'll be honest the first 100 pages or so are kind of difficult to get through. It's definitely a slow burn and, especially at the beginning, it's easy to become discouraged: random vocabulary thrown your way, difficult to map locations, endless repetition. That being said, this is probably the greatest reveal and one of the best plot concepts I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. My best advice: read this book, go in blind with no previous knowledge, and be patient for the first bit. More than worth it in the end. Also, I loved the ending.
