After reading a ton of bad reviews, this movie is for ppl who enjoy Miraculous but are ok with watching a movie not exactly like the show. I’ve only seen the first two seasons but this movie was AMAZING. The animation, storyline and characters were really well developed and I liked how Marinette was clumsy and shy around Adrien but not as excessive like the show. In the show, her normal life kinda seems to revolve around him and at some instances it does get annoying… It felt slightly more realistic (whilst being abt magic) but the characters themselves felt human (at least to me). I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would even go as far as to say it’s one of the best films I’ve watched this year. Definitely light hearted but also holds a good message!! Definitely a goodie for the family and totally got me hyped up seeing them fighting crime together and seeing such good animation (I initially thought Adrien looked a little funny but he grows on you! I think Chloe was the only one who actually looked off). I thought the humour was great too!! Spoilers!! I liked the emphasis on a partnership too and thought the romance was actually riveting (as corny as other people seem to find it). I’m not a big fan of musicals but the songs were decent and although the singers had different voices (I only rlly noticed with Marinette), the lyrics, message and beat were nice and I liked the pacing of the movie a lot!! The villains were cool too and I thoroughly enjoyed Hawk Moth actually being scary!! The mime guy was also very cool. It was nice seeing aspects of the show being thrown into the movie but also surprising (as someone whose only seen the first 2 seasons) seeing the big reveal of Cat Noir and Ladybug as well as seeing Hawke Moth being defeated and Adrien’s mum still being alive?!? I think the movie did AMAZING with how well it incorporated us into the storyline and how well they wrapped it up with the ending too. They took all the key parts of the show and fit it into a cohesive storyline within 2 hours!!
