This is a masterpiece of storytelling, love, friendship, intuition, harsh realities and warning as well as compassion and forgiveness through understanding and communication. It is a dystopian tall tale with parallel issues we live through today. I absolutely loved this.
I read the few one star reviews and quickly realized how ignorant and sad humanity actually can be…as the few low reviews stated things like the idea that the children in this were “annoying” because they make silly mistakes more than once sometimes or didn’t look as expected just shows how little tolerance the human race has…children in real life will continually make mistakes when coming into their own just like this, and that is literally part of the plot line(learning to follow you heart but intellectually), and yes, they look unrealistic because they are “hybrids”, kids in costumes…I find it nice that some just seem campy rather than AI made. The idea that these reviewers ask if humans are actually this greedy is amazing to me…in times of distress, many humans have consistently proven themselves to be horrifying since day one in true history, and yes, it is us that have created destruction in this world, even natural destruction has come from our choices. Animals can kill and be destructive for sure, but left in their natural environment, the landscapes of our world flourish from it…the orders of life according to science, literally. Lastly, these reviewers speak of plot holes…this is a grown up fairytale of warning and love and stories at the same time. The last I checked, we still read books to our children and for ourselves that have so called plot holes(or unrealistic expectations), but we do this to escape or to learn from. This is a STORY compiled of many stories, as it states from beginning to end. And if watched thoroughly(as I assume these reviewers did not), the main character is not who it is expected to be, and it confirms the idea of a story that is left open to interpretation…just as all stories, choices, regrets, hopes, dreams and more are.
