This was an excellent movie illustrative of the kind of real life cloak and dagger operations undertaken by OSS. Contrary to what some other reviewers seem to believe important and dangerous war work did not typically involve the recklessly overwrought nonsense usually found in popular screen fiction today. Quiet courage and cool daring were the mark of the secret operatives of WWII to whom we owe so much. Moe Berg, with his enigmatic personality and many extraordinary talents was a complex and extremely interesting character which the film brings out well through the actor’s subdued playing of the role with the similarly restrained performances of the seasoned supporting cast.
