At first I was very skeptical of this, I just got a little tired of all of the Colin hype. I'm not too confident in him for many reasons, but I do support many of his very own beliefs.
After watching it I would say I have a completely different viewing of him, it shows the blindness and confusion one can have growing up in a completely different cultural home (then you would be automatically labeled to). The scenes were amazing, and even the acting. The appearant stereotyping and impact each "racist" scene brought many emotions out of me.
Many love to bring up his white parents, NFL career and even money, but what's that have to do with what makes him, him. We're not defined by those things, only our life experience. In this documentary Colin is described as a very confused, peer guided, young teen that is developing and blossoming into something beautiful.
This was very raw and to the core, set aside all of those petty beliefs and go in with a clear head
