I am going to wait until the end of season 4 to make a decision. So far, I have not liked a couple things about this season. We no longer are watching a fictional Vaught reality when regarding to the politics. You have super hero’s acting like gods, but the show has brought it down to reflect the modern American political landscape. It’s not that I disagree with the statements they’re trying to make, but if I wanted to be depressed about our reality I would watch the news, not the boys. I thought in the earlier seasons, the political jabs were done tastefully somewhat subtly, now they’re not really that creative either. Especially after recruiting the smartest “person” in the world. Frenchies past, Frenchie is a deep multi-layered character with a haunted past. Now the side story of season 4 is regurgitating that frenchie is a deep multi-layered character with a haunted past. This is nothing new, if this love/murder story does not tie in with the main plot line it will be a waste and have no causality that we care about. Not a bomb, just an honest opinion from a fan, I’ll come back and change after we finish this out. Hopefully this is just a quick phase of the show before they get into the good stuff.
