Wow! I watched the movie first (which is outstanding) then read the book. I'm glad I did it in this order. This book is so good that I'm not sure I can convey just how much I loved it. The writer made me feel every emotion the characters were feeling. It felt like a roller coaster ride - scary and exhilarating. I love Hayes and Solène. This should go down as one of the great love stories. Just get the book and I promise you will not regret it.

Unbelievably bad. I did try. Watched it all. Can't get that time back. You never get a sense of what is really true. The intro scenes with the classical music almost lost me but I stayed. My mistake. Should have stopped there.
