First contact and all the writers can do is come up with wishful thinking, and merely about his boring family at the end? Ahh, how sad and touching, he loved his daughter, such an interesting and unexpected surprise. All the ingredients for a great show, some of it spectacular and original. but the best they could do was only a primitive, dull, family reunion as the closer? May as well have been watching star trek for all the intellectual maturity this show putatively aimed for. At least star trek never claimed to be anything but children's TV. What a waste of time.
