While some of the combat elements are great, they unfortunately just don't work in the world of Metro. The previous games were dark, grimy, survival games, where you had to make every bullet count, literally in some cases because it was also your currency. Metro Exodus throws away everything that Metro 2033 & Last Light so great. The edge of your seat, holding your breath, stealth gameplay is completely lost when you're given unlimited rounds of ammo and an open world. If you're thinking of playing this, even with the fancy PS5 upgrades, I'd still recommend going back to the far superior PS4 Metro Redux instead.

If you're accustomed to the Yakuza Series, you'll be very familiar with the combat in this game, however what's new is the much more serious tone this game takes on. Due to this darker, more serious tone, the games silly moments stick out like a sore thumb, and just feel forced in to the game as an afterthought. Not Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's finest work, but definitely worth a play through, even if just for the pretty great detective story.

I played this game on Nintendo Switch, and it has to be said, it's one of the consoles greatest games, and probably it's best RPG. I've never been a big fan of turn based fighting systems, opting more for action based RPGs, but when I played the demo from the Eshop, I was absolutely hooked. The great cast of characters really pulls you in, as well the fantastic voice acting, and the thing I really enjoyed was the Enemy designs. You'll fight everything from Ducks, Pickles, Slimes to Dragons, all while having a big child like smile on your face. Be warned that this game is Absolutely Huge! I ended up putting in over 80 hours and I'm still not at the games ending, but I think that's what makes this game so perfect for the Nintendo Switch. If you're someone who doesn't necessarily have the time or resources for much home gaming, the Nintendo Switch being portable gives you back a lot of that fantastic RPG gaming time. I'd highly recommend this game 👍

If you're interested in playing Paper Mario games because of the funny, sometimes fourth wall breaking lines, then this game will tick all your boxes. However the combat is where the game really feels sluggish and slow. The new ring twisting, enemy line-up system doesn't feel bad once you first start using it, but after the fourth or fifth time it's very repetitive and rarely feels any different than that same first time. Story wise, so far it's quite fun and has a host of quirky characters, I'd have probably finished it by now, if only picturing going back to the combat didn't make me physically cringe.

Easily the best contender in the running for best Spider-Man game. It's hard to decide what to love more about this game, the breathtaking graphics as you swing around the city, the seemless webbed combos of spidey, or just his endless quips. Although this game isn't quite perfect, as if you intend on blasting through this game in one sitting, like I did with New Game+, it can quickly become quite repetitive.
