Generally, I am not a big fan of mainstream movies; they usually strike me as ho-hum morality tales, with very predictable normative characters and love interests. The Banshees of Inisherin is not this. It is a classic movie in every way, from the casting, the acting, the setting, the cinematography, and the story. Colin Farrell earns his place in the hall of legends. All the main actors and supporting cast are truly genuinely fabulous, in my opinion. Even the animals give top quality performances! No joking. This film is not a simple morality tale; it covers territory few mainstream writers and directors have explored, certainly with such artistic success. This film is a work of art! Go and see it.
