There are a lot of critics out there that have a lot to say about Jackman and Jack Harlow. Yes, it’s a short album that could’ve been expanded on but it wasn’t necessary… Yes, it has me desiring more, but that’s a good problem. He said what he had to. It is what it is. Hate on it all you want but it slaps. Regarding best rappers alive, it’s objective. If nasal rap is your vibe—I get coming for Jackman as MGK and/or Eminem fans. That just never was and never will be my vibe. I mess with Jack though. It just sounds better. He sounds smooth as butter and this is an excellent album. I feel like I know Jack Harlow better and connected with him on a deeper level with Jackman. He just went from my top 10 to top 5 especially because there is nothing flashy about Jackman. It’s authentic, real, and raw. This is VULNERABILITY, LYRICISM, and a true coming of age as this young rapper steps into his quarter life. I love it. Haters hate because they think what he did was easy and he isn’t deserving or something, that classics have more credibility… That’s tired. Welcome to 2023 and the people have spoken. Whiney white boy rap is out. Good music is back in.
